Retired Fallston Couple Scores $150K Scratch-Off Win

Discover the best of the "Heart of Harford"

Hello Friends—

Welcome to the 78 new subscribers who joined since last week’s edition. Happy to have you in our (growing) community!

Football season is here and the weekend happening around the area are on the lighter side after the holiday weekend. Fall is just around the corner, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at the inside of my house. My wife has gone “full fall” and the decor has changed over faster than you can say “HGTV”.

First Friday is back in the heart of Bel Air… Sandwich Stock 2025 at Vagabond Sandwich Company returns for its 9th year… and Looney’s Pub is celebrating 23 years with an all day power hour!

Oh, and ANOTHER Harford County resident won big on a scratch-off… I’m as speechless as you are.

Scroll down, make plans, and enjoy your weekend!

Date Spot Of The Week

Z Vault (Bel Air)

📍201 S. Main Street, Bel Air

We’re dialing in something fresh, easygoing, and a little sweet this week…

If you want a date spot that’s low-pressure but a cut above the usual coffee run, Z Vault is your move. Built on nutrition, quality, and service, this local café in downtown Bel Air serves up breakfast, lunch, coffee & desserts with an edge of health consciousness.

You can start light with a Blissful smoothie (packed with berries and banana for a naturally creamy, colorful kick), or go indulgent with their Affogato—a shot of espresso poured right over your choice of freshly churned gelato. Breakfast lovers, check out the Z Omelette with your choice of meat or the Fresh Belgian Waffles for something a bit sweeter. When lunch rolls around, sandwiches like the Tomato Pesto Panini or Avocado Toast hit the spot.

The spot feels clean, modern, and quiet enough to actually talk. Not a museum, not a dive—just right. Great for brunch, afternoon treats, or dessert with a purpose.

Real Estate Corner, Brought to You By…

Each week, this spot could connect you with a trusted local realtor—someone who knows the market, shares insights, and keeps you in the loop on what’s happening in our neighborhoods. If you’re a realtor (or know one) who is looking to expand their local visibility, email me here.
